Learn about the natural biodiversity of the region and learn the skills of the professional Trapper – noting that pest control here in Aotearoa NZ is essential to maintain our iconic Forests.
An ideal location for Nature Photography, enjoy close proximity to our Native Birds and perhaps glimpse the red and fallow deer in the Park.
Try your hand at clay pigeon shooting, a sport enjoyed by a wide range of ages and all levels, or how about trying your skills on the rifle range and work your way around the target shooting stations, which includes the slug gun target shooting and the .22 calibre rifle.
Basic Instincts can offer all equipment required, guns, wet weather gear etc and have full public liability insurance and we hold NZ Firearms licenses. Our guides are fully experienced and have an intimate knowledge and connection to the Forests and the Land.
Meals can also be arranged from morning or afternoon “Billy” tea or a traditional NZ BBQ lunch.
